Annie Lööf, former leader of the Center Party, is set to release a book titled ”Också Annie” (Also Annie) about her political life. The book provides insight into the secret negotiations that led to the January Agreement, marking the first time these details have been revealed. Lööf reflects on her time in power, which was marked by internal meetings, locked positions, rejected government proposals, and an intense and hostile betrayal debate. The book covers a meeting at the 18th-century manor Almare Stäket in Stockholm, where Lööf and her chief of staff met with the Social Democrats and the Green Party. The book also discusses the impact of a kidnapping threat against Lööf’s daughter and the challenges of being in a position of power. Lööf stepped down as party leader in February 2023 but continues her involvement in various roles, including serving on the boards of two companies.
