On April 11, 1912, first-class passengers on the Titanic were served tournedos, salmon with hollandaise, and apricot pie.
This is indicated by a water-damaged, partially legible menu that has now been sold at auction in England for £84,000, equivalent to over 1.1 million Swedish kronor. It is believed to be the only preserved copy.
The Titanic was en route from Southampton to New York when it struck an iceberg on April 14. Over 1,500 people, out of 2,200 on board, died when the ship sank.
