Megan Rapinoe, 38, had a nightmare ending to her career. Three minutes into her last match, she collapsed without a single player being near her.
It turned out to be an Achilles injury that the American star had suffered from.
”This was tough. It definitely wasn’t how I imagined the last (match) would be,” a teary-eyed Rapinoe told CBS Sports after the match.
Now, her club has announced, a few days later, that the 38-year-old has undergone a successful operation and will immediately begin a rehabilitation process.
