Minor issues were discovered at the last minute with the US’s new giant rocket Starship. A test flight around the Earth has been postponed from Friday to Saturday.
”We need to replace a component, so it will be delayed until Saturday,” writes Space X’s CEO Elon Musk on X (Twitter).
The plan was previously for Starship to fly almost a full lap around the Earth on Friday, from Texas eastward to a landing near Hawaii.
Starship is a prestige project for both the company Space X and the USA, intended to carry out manned trips to the moon and eventually Mars. But in the latest test, the rocket exploded.
