Rust yourself.
Winter is coming.
Russian cold, monster cold, ”beast from the east.”
Call it what you want. But now it’s coming – the icy air flow from the east.
– It will be colder than normal throughout the country now, during the end of this week and basically throughout next week, says Lars Rydqvist, meteorologist at Klart.
It looks like it will be coldest during the weekend and on Monday, especially over southern Norrland and also Svealand.
– That’s where it stands out the most. It’s generally 8-15 degrees colder than normal. Dalarna will be able to have 10-15 degrees below zero in the middle of the day, so it will probably be even colder in the morning.

Finland coldest in 20 years
So far in November, it has been colder than usual throughout Sweden.
– We are about 1-7 degrees colder than normal, says Lars Rydqvist.
Yesterday, the Russian cold reached Finland – with a vengeance. In Savukoski Tulippo, -34.2 degrees was recorded. It is the coldest temperature recorded in the country since 2002.

Snow chaos and traffic problems
Winter has already caused a lot of trouble in traffic on Tuesday. Many accidents have occurred, especially along the east coast from Norrland down to Stockholm.
In Skellefteå, school children were sent home early due to the difficult road conditions. All buses have also been canceled until tomorrow morning. Track vehicles are ready to be deployed if needed.
The heavy snowfalls over Uppsala and Stockholm led to delays at Arlanda airport, reports P4 Stockholm.
That’s how the advent weather will be
And more snow is expected. Tomorrow, snow is expected to continue to fall, especially along the Norrland coast where a yellow warning is in effect until lunchtime.
Already on Thursday, a new snowfall area will move in from the Baltic countries. Then the Baltic Sea areas seem to be worst affected.
– The chance of having a white first advent is quite big for many who have had snow today. And it could also mean a white second advent, says Lars Rydqvist.
