Poromaa’s mood was far from what it was just two days ago in Davos when he broke his poles in anger after failing with his equipment.
”Triggered by the biathletes”
– That’s just who I am. Maybe that also triggers me a bit, but the biggest motivation I’ve gotten in the last few days is probably from social media, says Poromaa who has received some teasing after his criticism of biathlon, which he did in the SVT series ”Kallprat”.
So, the words from the biathletes have triggered you?
– Yes, definitely. There has been a lot of writings and comments. But I see it mostly as humor. It has been a bit difficult to find motivation when things have been tough, so then you have had to find it elsewhere, says Poromaa.
Most boring race
The 15 km race today took place in heavy snowfall and as expected, no one managed to break away from the field.
– I have never raced a more boring race, said Jens Burman.
However, the top three managed to pull away towards the stadium and it became an exciting showdown where Norwegian Erik Valnes was the strongest. Swiss skier Cyril Fähndrich took his first podium place as third.

Burman crashed
Jens Burman was lively and fought for bonus seconds. But when it was to be decided, the accident happened.
– I was thrown down in the last hill, said the Swede who flew over a snow bank in a curve and lost a lot of time.
Burman finished 42nd, over 20 seconds behind Valnes.
Calle Halfvarsson was the second best Swedish skier in seventh place.
Before the finish up the Alpe Cermis slalom slope tomorrow, Norwegian Harald Amundsen has a comfortable lead over compatriot Erik Valnes with a whopping 1.34 minutes.
