Åberg was tied for 67th place after the first round, when he completed the round on par.
Alex Norén holds the same placement as Åberg after the second round but had a weaker performance than in the first round, requiring four more strokes than Åberg.
Leading the competition, tied for first place, are Carl Yuan of China, Austin Eckroat of the USA, and Byeong Hung An of South Korea. They have 131 strokes while Åberg and Norén have 135 each.
