In the 105th minute, 15 minutes into stoppage time, Malaysia’s Romel Morales scored the equalizer and huge celebrations erupted. Malaysia earned their only point in the group stage, while South Korea finished second in the group after the drawn result.
It was also the first time since the 1-0 victory in 1985 that Malaysia earned a point against South Korea.
