Carl Bildt describes the Russian opposition politician Alexei Navalny as a very skillful and brave politician and a powerful force, whom he has met on several occasions.
”I would say he was one of Russia’s most skilled politicians,” Bildt says.
But he made Putin nervous, Bildt argues, as he is an advisor to Alexei Navalny’s organization The Anti Corruption Foundation:
”What has happened in the past few weeks may suggest that there is nervousness in the Kremlin ahead of the election,” says Carl Bildt.
Navalny was also fully aware that what he was doing, he was doing at the risk of his life.
