I Iran’s parliamentary election this year, prominent opposition voices, both from within Iran and in exile, called for a boycott of the election.
And perhaps people have listened, as the state news agency Irna reported that ”around 41 percent” of the 61 million eligible voters cast their ballots.
It may not sound like a success, but that’s how the regime wants to portray it.
